Divine Mercy in My Soul is the spiritual journal of Saint Faustina Kowalska, a Polish nun and mystic (1905–1938), who recorded her visions, revelations, and conversations with Jesus about His infinite mercy toward humanity. The diary spans six notebooks written between 1934 and 1938 and forms the foundation of the Divine Mercy Devotion in the Catholic Church.
The heart of the diary is trust in the mercy of Jesus and the call to show mercy to others through deeds, words, and prayer. Jesus revealed to Faustina that His greatest desire is that souls turn to His mercy, no matter how great their sins.
