Since 2014, a born and raised, son of a Methodist preacher, has been taking photos at the Basilica of Saint Michael the Archangel as the unofficial "official" photographer at the parish. It's time Robert Pappas had his own space among us. While you've seen many of his 30,000 photos already, you've not seen these!
These photos document our history and have been hand-picked and curated to honor his dedication and calling to "do God's work" for the Catholics dear to his heart - including his wife and "cradle Catholic" Kayty Pappas.
(A short film about them is in HERE!)
Look at the first 34 photos in "The Robert Pappas Collection" gallery below.
We will add more each week leading up to Easter Sunday!
Third Sunday of Advent
The symbol of the Jesse Tree comes from Isaiah 11:1-2 and reminds us of King David's time when the royal family seemed "cut off at the root" and before new branches grew from the tree's seemingly dead stump and restored His family rule. Today, we also wait for the day when Jesus the Messiah returns. Each day during Advent a new ornament will be added to our Jesse Tree inside the Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel.
