They are the backbone of the parish. Watch this short film about their work and inspiration.
Since 2014, a born and raised, son of a Methodist preacher, has been taking photos at the Basilica of Saint Michael the Archangel as the unofficial "official" photographer at the parish. It's time Robert Pappas had his own space among us. While you've seen so many of his 30,000 photos already, you've not seen these!
These photos document our history and have been hand-picked and curated to honor his dedication and calling to "do God's work" for the Catholics dear to his heart - including his wife and "cradle Catholic" Kayty Pappas. (A short film about them is coming soon!)
Look at the first 34 photos in "The Robert Pappas Collection" gallery below.
We will add 12 more each week leading up to Easter Sunday!

On September 13, at the Basilica of Saint Michael the Archangel, the Knights of Columbus hand-delivered a rose made of silver.
The tradition ties back to 1531 when the Virgin Mary appeared before Juan Diego near Mexico City commanding a church be built on the hill where they met and where roses miraculously bloomed in the dead of winter. It would become Our Lady of Guadalupe church and Diego would become a Saint for his faith in her Son.
