Basilica Audio Enhancement (Part 1): $37,572.51
The basilica audio system was revamped to improve the sound quality in general, as well as to provide assisted listening technology for those with assisted listening devices. The second part of this project was accomplished with the rebate funds from the 2023 campaign.
Sump Pump Rewire: $5,330.00
The generator for our sump pumps in the basement of the Basilica were rewired as a result of a failed generator. Rather than replacing the old generator, the pumps were connected to the above-ground generator behind the rectory. The rewire provided the same result as a new generator would have at half the cost.
Hall Garage Storage: $399.96
More robust shelving was installed in the hall garage to accommodate heavy storage of seasonal items and to organize the garage contents.
Bathroom Upgrade: $2,190.92
A new "super" toilet and electric hand dryer were installed in the Basilica restroom. Unsuccessful attempts were made to design a new bathroom.
Liturgical Furnishings: $1,768.02
New sanctuary bells, a new thurible, and naviculus ("boat"), were obtained for use in the Liturgies of the Basilica.
Roof & Sidewalk: $41,100.00
Necessary repairs were made to the roofing and the sidewalks were installed and repaired.
